Malibu Pathology provide FLU A/B & RSV sample collection services to schools, businesses and health facilities at their desired locations. Please contact us at report@malibupathology.com.
Your test will be arranged by the facility where you take the test at.
Anyone traveling to China will need to be tested at the Agoura Hills location.
FLU A testing is designed to detect active infections of the influenza A virus. For sample collection, a small swab is inserted into your nostril (nasopharyngeal) or the back of the throat (oropharyngeal) to collect mucosal specimens.
FLU B testing is intended to identify active infections of the influenza B virus. Sample collection is performed similarly, using a small swab inserted into the nostril or the back of the throat for mucosal specimens.
RSV testing is a real-time PCR test used for the qualitative detection of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) nucleic acids. The RSV detection utilizes the Simplexa RV Direct Gen II assay. Sample collection is done by inserting a small swab into either the nostril (nasopharyngeal), mouth (oropharyngeal), or using your saliva.

Turnaround time for FLU A/B & RSV test is 1-5 days.
Cancellation/Rescheduling
If you would like to cancel your appointment, click the “Cancel Appointment” link in your appointment confirmation email. Your appointment will be automatically cancelled. If you would like to reschedule your appointment, please call (818)-584-4355 and you will receive immediate assistance. A $50 no show fee will be charged for failure to arrive for your scheduled appointment or for failure to cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time. No fee will be charged for cancellations made 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.
